sCHOOL/Classroom Safety Guidelines
Face Masks
Hand Washing
Daily Self-Screening
- Change 2/28/22: Masks are optional.
- Change 2/28/22: Masks are no longer required when riding in District #25 transportation services.
- For students wearing masks, parents/caregivers are asked to send extra masks in their child's backpack in case one is misplaced or accidentally broken.
- For students wearing masks, staff/teachers will not be required to assure that their masks are kept on.
Hand Washing
- Frequent hand washing and/or using hand sanitizer will be encouraged in the classrooms.
Daily Self-Screening
- Parents are asked to self-screen their child for symptoms related to COVID-19 prior to sending them to school each day. Symptoms may include, but are not limited to: having a fever (100.4 or greater), cough, shortness of breath, chills, fatigue, muscle/body aches, new nasal congestion, headache, sore throat, loss of taste/smell, congestion/runny nose, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and/or having been exposed to another individual who had a positive COVID-19 test or displayed COVID-19 symptoms.
District #25 Close Contacting Protocols & Quarantine Procedures
- Students with a positive COVID test will be required to be out 5 days; returning to school on day 6; day 0 is the day of a positive test or first day of symptoms. Students are encouraged to wear a mask during days 6-10.
- Change 2/7/22: Students required to quarantine (e.g. testing positive) can request school work from teachers after they have been absent for 3-days due to sickness.
